Sad news from today. We hope the community can start to heal after such a tragedy. It is with a great deal of sadness that we share this message with you. As some in the Long Prairie MN communities may be aware, a 10th-grade student died in a car accident earlier today.
The news of the 10th grader’s death in a car accident was confirmed by Doug Froke, who is the Interim Superintendent of Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Schools.
Doug Froke stated, “We wanted our families to be aware that counselors were available to support students throughout the day today. They will continue to be here for our students the rest of this week. We encourage anyone who needs support to speak with a counselor at any time.
Funeral arrangements are pending at this time, but we will share more information as it becomes available.
